What a wonderful craft fair that was - I'm writing this the day after the Galway Local Food & Craft Fair has finished up. This was the first year that it expanded from a weekend event to a 6-day fair, so I was unsure if it would be quiet on the extra days. It actually made it much more enjoyable, as more people could come and enjoy the fair without being too squashed!

It was just wonderful to meet so many customers who support local and  handmade, and who were kind and appreciative about the knitted items I had for sale. One lady had already knitted some of my patterns, and was really surprised to meet the designer! Another was telling me about the knitting class her granddaughter was attending - it turned out to be the class I teach at my local school : )

I had a promotion code for anyone who wished to download a pattern,  which remains active until next Sunday - and of course I wanted to share it with my newsletter subscribers too ; ) Feel free to sign up for the newsletter here - I promise it is kept short, and arrives just once a month.

I hope you are all able to enjoy this busy time of year, without getting too stressed about the demands of gift-giving, and sometimes gift-making. I am knitting one gift, a DK version of the Dris Beanie. I had said that the pattern would be out by now, but some of my testers needed a little more time, and I too needed some time to focus on it without the distraction of the Craft Fair. What can I say - it will DEFINITELY be out this month, but I don't have a particular date in mind yet. Until then, I will say thank you so much for taking the time to read this post!
